NEW BLOOD, OLD WOUNDS

THE TESTIMONY pt. 1

A high energy ode to our times, "New Blood, Old Wounds" marks the first release from Canadian rock act Dali Van Gogh since the dawn of the Covid-19 pandemic. Including 5 new and original songs by the band, this new EP is produced by the likes of Eric Ratz (Billy Talent, The Arkells) and Rob Laidlaw (Platinum Bloonde, Honeymoon Suite).

"New Blood, Old Wounds" ties into the ongoing story of "The Testimony", a novella written by the band and available for free here.

Here's what the world is saying about the new record:

“Carrying the flag for Hard Rock music in Canada..” - Bill Welychka, Global News, Kingston, Ontario

“Electricity surges from the moment “Little Hell” first hits your ear with Isaac Kent’s liberating guitar expertise. Thunderous drum-work and a deceptively catchy bass-line [help] to render the backbone of this fiery track with the searing vocals of newly promoted front-woman Rachelle Moreau rounding out this blessing to the rock gods.” - Eric Alper, Serious XM Radio Host and former Director of Media Relations at eOne Music, Canada

“Shut up and take my money! That's what we want to hear! With "New Blood, Old Wounds," Dali Van Gogh haven proven themselves to me as an underrated metal act that mixes modern metal, punk and grunge with a touch of orchestra. Well worth checking out and supporting!” 8.5/10 - Stijn Daneels, Belgian Metal Shredder Blod

"'Boneyard' is a hook laden new rock energy, can't wait to hear it on the radio. I've had the opportunity to work with some of Canada's best enduring bands and this outfit is perched to make a major impact on the Universal Rock scene.” - Rob Laidlaw, Juno Nominated Songwriter and Bassist for   Platinum Blonde & Honeymoon Suite., Canada

"...almost unreal, the whole production is clean; guitarist Isaac Kent really gives us something to be scared of! Heavy and pungent rock, perfect vocal plying and an atmosphere reminiscent of bands like Garbage. "- Julien Vachon, Direct Actu, France

"Great sounding song with a 90s nostalgic vibe. Heavy Alice in Chains influences especially on vocals, powerful drive, and tons of energy."- Burak Gundogdu, Founder and CEO, Metalhead Community Magazine, USA

"Very dynamic and powerful rocking electric guitar and punchy drums along side a catchy and very fierce vocal track."- Music Lover, Spotify Playlist Curator, USA

"You can totally hear Alice In Chains influence in this! I love that style, and it really shines through in the vocal approach here. Really cool bends in the vocal line as well as the instruments. The chorus section in the song brings everything together and the mix is really solid. A+."- Jay Huntley, Writer/Reviewer, RMP Magazine, USA

"One the most infectious, gritty, and surprising tracks you've heard in quite a while. We promise." - Byron Booker, The Recording Artists Guild, USA

"Ferociously structured track... there isn't any mediocrity within the sound of Dali Van Gogh." - Buzz Music LA, in association with Capitol Records, USA

“A massive, raw and epic rock powerhouse - huge riffs roar, guitars crunch over meaty bass-lines and rampaging rhythms - [Boneyard] is a powerhouse anthem of raw passion.” - Barry Gruff, barrygruff.com (Blog), Ireland

“Solid and organic... I like the attitude in your solid performance .. this is a great hard rock track, lots of punch and energy...” - Trond Klas Betten, HQ Indie, a division of Appolon Records, Norway

“This got us headbanging for three minutes. Love the choral effect! The lead vox is so powerful. It perfectly complements the abrasive music beneath it. Woah!” - Sam Corazza, Unxigned.com, Philippines

"The stellar rich energy of the track's relentless guitars and percussion coupled with the gripping impact of the vocals deliver a really engaging and enjoyable piece overall." - Chris Caulder, UnderRated Music Blog, USA
